Ok some quick updates... Last day or so has been matching the digital double to the live action... this has been a pain, I blocked it out and the clip below is a tighter blocked out version, and I don't think I have time to go much further with it, I will move on to rendering the effects passes...
Below are screenshot of my digital double setup, match-move clip, and an orb test... more later... :/

WoW, time is flying by, I have been busy with other projects, and other events, and I started back up on this challenge this last week. Modeling began on Feb 17, and I'm not a modeler, it's my first head ever, and I just don't model enough complex objects, and it shows... but the main shot is a 'wide' shot, so I think I'll be ok with what I have... I'm tweaking some of the geo, ie the shoes, head and other parts... Texturing is nearly finished. I have also almost finished rigging, and have setup up 2 light models, matching my location using HDRI from a chrome ball I shot. Ohh and a quick orb geo test.
Whats next? Generation of elements for the effects, animated textures, animated mattes, particle systems, compositing, and ya I'm really pushing it, for this final week because my scheduled re-shoot is for Tuesday Morning, so that means I still have to do some rotowork and matching cg animation to my actor...
Enough of this, I have way to much work to do here... below are some pictures....

Flipping the Bird... frustration set in while modeling and rigging, because its not my thing! hehe

On-Set...

Orb Geo Test 1 - (2.38mb)

Ok... Ok I rented a Sony VX2000 on Jan 29th and shot the footage below in an abandon barn... although the VX2000 works well in low light situations... I neglected to spend enough time on the main event shot... as you can see it didnt turn out as concieved... hahahah but its good for a laugh no?
As you can imagine its not as easy as it is drawn to have a real actor perform the action that I desire onscreen with nothing more then dirt and a sleeping bag to fall upon. hahah but it was great fun to shoot and have some good Out-Takes!
I shot enough clean plates, so I will be shooting the main event in a bluescreen room taking the appropriate time to setup, light, and shoot the main effect for my purposes...

Live Action Rought Cut - (8.08mb)

I was having too much fun testing AT&T's Natural VoicesText-to-Speech Engine... :p
So I devised part 1 of my script, part 2 will have to wait until tomorrow because I used all my tests for the day, haha... (40 a day per IP)
Anyway, here is part 1 using "Mike's" voice as my narrator... Hear theStory Part 1
